This is Aaliyah with Skin.Edu, and this is part 3 of a miniseries that I’ll call “Is it Aaliyah Approved?” where I review body and skincare products. Today I’m reviewing the Frank Body Express - O Coffee Body Scrub. To be honest, I don’t care for coffee scrubs and there’s a few reasons why. First, coffee is extremely difficult to rinse off the skin, and creating extra sheering forces just to remove the coffee grinds from skin can cause irritation, redness, and potentially negatively affect the skin barrier. Second, it makes a mess in the shower; along with not being able to remove it easily from the skin, it becomes difficult to remove it from the shower and bath as well. Third, it is an alternative to sugar, but it’s not any better when considering sustainability - they both can be produced either unsustainably or sustainably.
