Bliss Lemon & Sage Soapy Suds Body Wash

This is Aaliyah with Skin.Edu, and this is part 10 of a miniseries that I’ll call “Is it Aaliyah Approved?” where I review body and skincare products.

Today I’m reviewing the Lemon and Sage Soapy Suds Body Wash from the clean skincare brand, Bliss.

I knew from when I first smelled this product I was going to be a fan. It’s a giant 17 oz. bottle for $10 on Ulta, and it smells amazing, like sweet lemon candy but you still catch the undertones of the earthy sage. The ingredients were pretty good and followed their clean standard.

I was impressed that without even adding water, the body wash began to lather, and then once I added water it really started to bubble up - so it definitely lived up to its name of Soapy Suds!

It created a thick, creamy lather that felt really nice on my skin, and even when I rinsed it off, my skin still felt really smooth.

You can find this product on Ulta for $10 for a 17 oz. bottle: https://www.ulta.com/p/lemon-sage-soapy-suds-body-wash-xlsImpprod17921154

So, is it “Aaliyah Approved”?

My review is based on these categories: scent (scent of product), texture (texture of product), quality (actual quality of the product, considering brand), and value (price of product for what it is, with these factors included), with an overall average score of the product to give a value to compare to other product reviews, and finally, answering the question: would I repurchase the product?

Here’s my takeaway:

Scent: 5 / 5 - too similar to the Bath and Body Works scent

Texture: 5 / 5

Quality: 5 / 5 - ok ingredients, luxury feel at affordable price

Value: 5 / 5 (initial, but bumping to 3/5)

Overall: 5 / 5

Buy Again: Yes definitely

Frank Body Express - O Coffee Body Scrub Review

This is Aaliyah with Skin.Edu, and this is part 3 of a miniseries that I’ll call “Is it Aaliyah Approved?” where I review body and skincare products. Today I’m reviewing the Frank Body Express - O Coffee Body Scrub. To be honest, I don’t care for coffee scrubs and there’s a few reasons why.  First, coffee is extremely difficult to rinse off the skin, and creating extra sheering forces just to remove the coffee grinds from skin can cause irritation, redness, and potentially negatively affect the skin barrier. Second, it makes a mess in the shower; along with not being able to remove it easily from the skin, it becomes difficult to remove it from the shower and bath as well. Third, it is an alternative to sugar, but it’s not any better when considering sustainability - they both can be produced either unsustainably or sustainably.  I did appreciate that Frank Body took a different approach when it came to texture & formula. This body scrub is much different from other coffee...

Tree Hut Tahitian Vanilla Body Scrub Review

Tree Hut Tahitian Vanilla Body Scrub Review  This is Aaliyah with Skin.Edu, and this is part 4 of a miniseries that I’ll call “Is it Aaliyah Approved?” where I review body and skincare products. Today I’m reviewing the Tahitian Vanilla Body Scrub from the viral - worthy brand Tree Hut.  I was pretty disappointed with the scent of this product; I suppose I was expecting a little more of a sweetened vanilla scent, but the scent of this scrub was too overwhelming for me.  The scrub itself was okay and pretty gentle on my skin, but it didn’t leave my skin as soft and moisturized as I typically like from a body scrub. This product would be okay though for those who really prefer a long lasting fragrance.  You can find the product on Ulta.com for $9 for an 18 oz. jar: https://www.ulta.com/p/tahitian-vanilla-bean-shea-sugar-scrub-xlsImpprod18801211 .   So, is it “ Aaliyah Approved ”? My review is based on these categories: scent (scent of product), texture (textur...
