Tree Hut Sugared Fantasy Body Scrub
This is Aaliyah with Skin.Edu, and this is part 11 of a miniseries that I’ll call “Is it Aaliyah Approved?” where I review body and skincare products.
Today I’m reviewing the Sugared Fantasy Body Scrub from the body scrub brand, Tree Hut.
Without even trying this body scrub, I already knew I wasn’t going to like it. The scent wasn’t what I expected (although, at this point, I’m not sure I know what to expect from Tree Hut body scrubs), however I think I was hoping for a sweet candy scent, blueberry, or something like that since the container was blue and the name has sugar in it. I was wrong - at least about everything except for the blueberry, since it does have blueberry as a key ingredient. The scent notes are blackberry, vanilla, and jasmine, which is a nice combination, but I found this scrub to be a little too strong.
My skin felt okay afterwards, but I would definitely recommend using body butter or cream afterwards to keep your skin moisturized.
You can find this product on Ulta for $9 for an 18 oz. container: https://www.ulta.com/p/sugared-fantasy-shea-sugar-scrub-pimprod2023618?sku=2577306&_requestid=3955847.
So, is it “Aaliyah Approved”?
My review is based on these categories: scent (scent of product), texture (texture of product), quality (actual quality of the product, considering brand), and value (price of product for what it is, with these factors included), with an overall average score of the product to give a value to compare to other product reviews, and finally, answering the question: would I repurchase the product?
Here’s my takeaway:
Scent: 2 / 5
Texture: 3 / 5
Quality: 3 / 5
Value: 5 / 5
Overall: 3 / 5
Buy Again: No, didn’t like the scent
