3 Step Cherry Almond Shave Routine

3 Step Cherry Almond Shave Routine This is Aaliyah with Skin.Edu, and today I’m sharing my favorite 3 - step shave routine using Bellavana Beauty’s Cherry Almond products.  The first product to use is the Cherry Almond Cream Body Wash, found here: https://bellavanabeautyllc.com/collections/cherry-almond/products/cream-body-wash-cherry-al . This product uses plant - based surfactants to gently cleanse skin without stripping the skin of it’s natural protective barrier. When it’s shave day, it’s important to use products that won’t disturb the skin’s barrier more than the act of shaving already will.  The second product is the Cherry Almond Nourishing Body Scrub, found here: https://bellavanabeautyllc.com/collections/cherry-almond/products/body-scrub-cherry-almond-1 . Exfoliating is probably the most important thing to do on shave days, as it removes buildup, dead skin, and creates a smooth foundation to shave, which in turn will reduce irritation, redness, and razor bumps. ...

Spinach is great for your skin

Spinach is great for your skin! Hi, this is Jillian with skin.edu on  TikTok. Popeye the comic strip/cartoon said spinach helped his strength and I bet Popeye the had great skin too, Spinach has so many benefits for skin. When applied topically, spinach is rich with benefits for your skin’s health. The leafy green makes an appearance. Incorporating spinach into your skincare routine and diet is helpful for your skin, hair, and bone health because it helps reduce inflammation. Spinach  provides you with vital nutrients. Spinach contains vitamins—namely vitamins A, C, and K—which work together to help your skin enhance its radiance. Vitamin A  helps your skin appear younger, healthier, and more hydrated. Vitamin C in spinach help with  complexions and hyperpigmentation, a skin condition in which patches of one’s skin are  darker than others. Your skin can start to appear unhealthy or age prematurely when free radicals latch onto your skin cells. By ...

Tree Hut Tahitian Vanilla Body Scrub Review

Tree Hut Tahitian Vanilla Body Scrub Review  This is Aaliyah with Skin.Edu, and this is part 4 of a miniseries that I’ll call “Is it Aaliyah Approved?” where I review body and skincare products. Today I’m reviewing the Tahitian Vanilla Body Scrub from the viral - worthy brand Tree Hut.  I was pretty disappointed with the scent of this product; I suppose I was expecting a little more of a sweetened vanilla scent, but the scent of this scrub was too overwhelming for me.  The scrub itself was okay and pretty gentle on my skin, but it didn’t leave my skin as soft and moisturized as I typically like from a body scrub. This product would be okay though for those who really prefer a long lasting fragrance.  You can find the product on Ulta.com for $9 for an 18 oz. jar: https://www.ulta.com/p/tahitian-vanilla-bean-shea-sugar-scrub-xlsImpprod18801211 .   So, is it “ Aaliyah Approved ”? My review is based on these categories: scent (scent of product), texture (textur...

Avocado face mask

This is Jillian from Skin.edu, DIY Avocado face mask with simple ingredients in your kitchen! Avocados are extremely hydrating and this makes it ideal for dry skin.  This mask  will seriously nourish skin that needs some extra love. Mash one ripe avocado with 1/3 cup plain yogurt, two tsp honey, and one tablespoon lemon juice. Mix well and rinse off after 20 minutes.

Frank Body Express - O Coffee Body Scrub Review

This is Aaliyah with Skin.Edu, and this is part 3 of a miniseries that I’ll call “Is it Aaliyah Approved?” where I review body and skincare products. Today I’m reviewing the Frank Body Express - O Coffee Body Scrub. To be honest, I don’t care for coffee scrubs and there’s a few reasons why.  First, coffee is extremely difficult to rinse off the skin, and creating extra sheering forces just to remove the coffee grinds from skin can cause irritation, redness, and potentially negatively affect the skin barrier. Second, it makes a mess in the shower; along with not being able to remove it easily from the skin, it becomes difficult to remove it from the shower and bath as well. Third, it is an alternative to sugar, but it’s not any better when considering sustainability - they both can be produced either unsustainably or sustainably.  I did appreciate that Frank Body took a different approach when it came to texture & formula. This body scrub is much different from other coffee...

Vanessa's Acne Journey

This is Vanessa from Skin.edu and here I tell you a little bit about my acne journey. I never thought I would have acne as an adult, I assumed it would just be a phase as a teenager. I’ve tried so many different acne products in the past. I really like the bare minerals acne cleanser. Bare Minerals has clean ingredients and it’s one of my favorite acne cleansers. I use it along with their serum and have found it’s helpful for me when i break out. The cleanser is a little pricey compared to drug store cleansers. The Bare minerals cleanser retails between $25-$30. However you can always find great deals at bare mineral outlets or shop when they are on sale. Click here for product link . Skin.edu CREW!

Tree Hut Green Tea Body Scrub Review

Tree Hut Green Tea Body Scrub Review This is Aaliyah with Skin.Edu, and this is part 2 of a miniseries that I’ll call “Is it Aaliyah Approved?” where I review body and skincare products. Today I’m reviewing the Green Tea Body Scrub from the brand Tree Hut. Honestly, out of all of the Tree Hut scrubs I am trying diligently to find one that I actually like - that being said, this is not one of them. I think I was expecting a sort of matcha, green tea, earthy scent, but this one was scented more like sweet berries with floral undertones.  This scrub has the typical thick, sticky texture and the ingredients were basically oils, colorants, and fragrance. This brand of body scrub would be great for those who enjoy Victoria’s Secret and Bath and Body Works products that are known for their heavy, but relatively nice scents.  This scrub you can find at Ulta for around $9 for an 18 oz. jar which is a pretty good value for the size. Here is a link you can find this product: https://www....

Foods clinical proven to improve skin

Some quick diet skin health tips from Jillian!               Food clinical proven to improve skin!   Fatty fish, such as salmon, mackerel, and herring
 Omega
